Gore Mountain
Gore Mountain is one of the truly iconic New England ski areas. First opened in 1934, Gore Mountain has been visited by downhill skiers for generations. The first snow train, carrying 378 winter enthusiasts, arrives in North Creek at 10:30 am from Schenectady on March 4. The round trip fare was $1.50. Ski Patrol at Gore Mountain was formed, one of the first of its kind, and served as a model for patrols all over the world. Lois Perret was the leader of the volunteer first aid committee. “Be careful, and think while you ski.”
Each year the mountain has invested in significant investments in customer service and facilities. A truly family oriented operation, Gore mountain has trails that will challenge and excite every member of the family.
Gore Mountain has the best snow/terrain combination in NY state. Gore skiers and snowboarders love our range of trails and terrain diversity that nine sides of four peaks deliver.
We have seven mountain areas, each its own distinctive mountain adventure yet linked through a unique network of trails and lifts to offer the most terrain in New York State and 2537′ vertical.
We are committed to improvements that always make our 42 miles and 439 acres of fun a better experience.
In 2019 Gore Mountain introduced RFID lift access gates and reloadable SKI3 cards for direct to lift convenience. Once you receive your RFID card you can reload it from your home eliminating the need to stand in ticket lines or wait at the gate.
